Silver-Plated Golf Egg Cups and Spoons by Walker & Hall, Sheffield.
A charming and unusual set of four silver-plated golf-themed egg cups, complete with their original matching spoons, by Walker & Hall of Sheffield.
Beautifully designed with the golfing enthusiast in mind, the four egg cups sit neatly on a shaped silver-plated stand, raised on four decorative golf ball feet. The stand features an attractive central carrying handle with crossed golf club detailing, giving the piece a wonderfully sporting character.
Each egg cup can be removed individually from the stand, and the four accompanying spoons are also stamped with the maker's marks. The set bears registration numbers 257811 and 51268.
A delightful example of novelty sporting silver plate, combining practical Edwardian-style tableware with a playful golfing theme. An appealing addition to any collection of antique golfing memorabilia, and a particularly charming piece for the breakfast table.
One of the photographs also shows the set alongside a wonderful companion piece, a novelty golf toast rack, which complements the egg cups beautifully. The toast rack is available separately.
