Country Oak Dog Kennel Dresser Base And Plate Rack.
A charming and unusually small late 18th-century country oak dog kennel dresser, combining practicality with classic period character. Crafted from good-quality oak, the dresser features a traditional base with three smoothly opening frieze drawers above a central "dog kennel" recess, flanked by two cupboard doors. Raised on squat feet, the piece offers both functionality and visual appeal in a compact form.
The original plate rack sits above, complete with a moulded cornice, three shelves, and many of its original hooks. It retains its fully planked pine back with wide, original boards, adding to its authenticity and rustic charm.
Versatile in its proportions, this dresser would suit a variety of interiors-from an entrance hall to a kitchen, drawing room, or dining space. The interior remains clean and tidy, and the piece is in very good condition overall. As expected for its age, it shows some signs of use, which only enhance its character and appeal.
A beautifully proportioned and decorative antique that displays exceptionally well.
