Vintage Two Piece Hardy Trout Fly Rod, The 'C.C. de France'.
The Hardy 'C.C. de France' is a split cane Palakona 2-piece rod by Hardy's of Alnwick. The rod is in good used condition with brown silk whippings, suction joint, adjustable alloy universal reel holder and 10" cork handle. It has the registration number E10160 dating it to 1928. The rod is 7' long and is in a green canvas bag. The rod has a faint painted black inscription spiralling around the shaft 'the 'C.C. de France', 'Palakona' and 'Regd. Trade Mark.'. The butt and end rings are Agate, intermediate are snake rings. The two pieces measure 109 ½ cm & 107 ½ cm.

Action: Inclined Stiff, for wet or dry fly.
Pieces: Two with one top. 'Palakona' split-bamboo.
Handle: cork covered, plain shaped.

Rings: Butt and end Agate, intermediate "snake".
Tyings: Ordianary spaced narrow bands, cane-coloured silk.
Reel fittings and furnishings: universal.
