Antique Tiger's Eye and Silver-Coloured Mounted Gentleman's Walking Cane.
An elegant gentleman's walking cane dating from the early 20th century, featuring a beautifully polished, spherical tiger's eye gemstone pommel, set within a decorative silver-coloured metal coronet mount.
The striking tiger's eye handle displays rich golden-brown tones and the distinctive silky, shimmering effect known as chatoyancy. As the light catches the polished surface, the natural bands within the stone appear to shift and glow, giving the cane a wonderful depth of colour and character.
The gemstone is held in an attractive coronet-style setting, with rounded metal finials and a silver-coloured collar that provides a pleasing contrast to the dark, polished ebonised hickory shaft (no ferrule).
A handsome and finely presented walking cane, combining the natural beauty of tiger's eye with understated Edwardian-era elegance. A particularly appealing example for collectors of antique walking sticks and gentleman's accessories.
