Silver Plated Golf Toast Rack
Silver Plated Golf Toast Rack

Antique Silver-Plated Golf Toast Rack with Crossed Golf Clubs.
A charming and unusual antique silver-plated golf toast rack, beautifully designed with crossed golf clubs and miniature golf balls. A wonderful piece of novelty golfing tableware, full of character and sporting appeal.
The toast rack has four divisions, cleverly formed from pairs of crossed golf clubs, with their textured shafts and distinctive club heads creating an attractive and rather ingenious design. A circular carrying handle sits at the top, while the rack is mounted on a decorative crumb tray with a lightly hammered surface, shaped scalloped edges and four small bun feet.
Adding to its golfing charm are two miniature gutty-pattern golf balls, positioned on opposite sides of the tray. The underside is stamped with 'EPNS'.
Although originally intended for serving toast, this delightful piece would also make an excellent letter rack for a desk or study, a lovely example of novelty golfing silver plate, combining an imaginative design with a practical purpose. An unusual and decorative addition to any collection of antique golf memorabilia.
One of the photographs also shows a wonderful companion piece, a silver-plated golf egg cup set with four matching spoons, which complements the toast rack beautifully. The egg cup set is available separately.
